What is "Street Photography?"
Is it photography that’s done on the street? Is it the same as documentary photography? Or lifestyle photography? Does it have to be in a public space? Does it have to include people? Is it something that can be learnt? There’s no simple answer to these questions, but for me it can be best defined as an approach towards observation.
It’s easy to think that a good photograph is down to technical mastery of the equipment. This is especially true for beginners who often ask more about the settings when discussing photographs, than about the photographer’s thought process: How to approach a particular scene? What influences composition? Why choose a particular angle or viewpoint? These are the sorts of questions that will develop a more confident approach in your Street Photography. The camera and its settings are merely the tools that interpret the photographer's vision.
When it comes to street photography, there is no silver bullet, no quick fix solution, but there are a few guides, tips, and tricks that will help in developing your progress as a street photographer. Street Photography Workshop in London
Street Photography can be a challenging but very rewarding way of developing your photography skills. These workshops will give you the confidence to shoot street photography with a new approach and a better understanding of how to overcome the challenges of photographing in public spaces.
These workshops are suitable for intermediate and beginners alike, although they do require some degree of understanding of cameras and exposure so if you need to do a beginners course first, to learn how to operate your camera and take full control, it may be good to book a personal tuition session first.

Street Photography Workshop Details
Street Photography Workshops take place in lively locations across in Central London, either around Kings Cross, the City, Borough Market or the South Bank. Sessions will start over a coffee in a nearby Café where we look at the work of some of the Masters of the genre and you learn some of the key aspects of Street Photography, followed by a practical session involving practical exercises, group discussion and feedback.
